Volunteers Take Action at Two Dallas Schools with Brooms, Paint and Garden Tools

The physical plant at two Dallas Independent School District schools will see a significant improvement this week. In the spirit of Corporate Caring Day, Wednesday, September 19, Foot Action USA volunteers will scrape, paint and embellish school surroundings.

From 8 a.m. to noon, at Hood Middle School, more than 50 company employees, including CEO Shawn Neville, will resurface the girls' softball field, replace the wire backdrop fence, install new bleachers and resurface the bulletin board in the gym. The volunteers also will paint the top half of the gym walls and landscape the entrance. Hood is located at 7625 Hume Dr.

The courtyard at San Jacinto Elementary School will be landscaped with help of volunteers who will gather at the school from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. They will build and place picnic tables in the area. San Jacinto is located at 7900 Hume Dr.

This is the second year Foot Action USA volunteers participate in this activity.
