DISD Invites Parents To Visit Their Child's School
DALLAS–The fall parent/teacher conferences for the Dallas Independent School District are scheduled to give parents the opportunity to visit teachers in their children's classroom environment.
Parent/teacher conferences are October 1 for high schools; October 2 for elementary students; and October 4 for middle school students. All the parent/teacher conferences are from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. For Gabe P. Allen Elementary, the district's only year-round school, the parent/teacher conferences are scheduled from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. October 18.
Parents are encouraged to attend parent/teacher conferences to forge better communication between teachers and parents. The conferences are the perfect opportunity for teachers and parents to have a dialogue about student's progress, classroom activities and teacher's expectations.
