WHAT: The 2001 Hispanic Salute Selection Committee will present $1,000 Ford Hispanic Salute Elementary school grants to 24 Dallas Independent School District elementary teachers. These grants will provide predominantly Hispanic elementary schools with needed funds for special class projects and school programs.
WHO: DISD General Superintendent Mike Moses, Hispanic Salute Chairman Ben Muro, Jerry Reynolds of Prestige Ford, representing the North Texas Ford Dealers and Jim Kennary of Ford Division will make the presentation.
WHEN: 4 p.m. Thursday, October 4, Board Room, DISD Administration Building, 3700 Ross Avenue (Ross and Washington).
NOTE: Moses, Muro, Reynolds, Kennary and the winning teachers will be available for interviews and photographs immediately following the presentation.
