Rylander, Moses, Board of Trustees to Discuss DISD's Efforts

DALLAS–State Comptroller Carole Keeton Rylander and Dallas Independent School District officials will hold a news conference on Tuesday, December 18, to discuss the findings of a six-month state review of how well the district is addressing the 193 recommendations made following an audit of DISD by the comptroller's office.

The 1 p.m. news conference will be held in the library of J. W. Ray Learning Center located at 2211 Caddo.

In late June, Rylander presented the results of her Texas School Performance Review of the district in two volumes of reports that included 193 recommendations DISD could take to improve operations and finances in the district. The district has agreed with 192 of the recommendations and has been working to put them into place since early July.
