DALLAS—Dallas Independent School District Human Resource Services and Communication Services officials will hold a Thursday news conference to unveil a multi-state teacher recruitment program to attract certified K-3 teachers.
The district has begun airing 30-second advertisements on cable in six states and is running Sunday daily newspaper ads. The ads, as well as a new CD-ROM recruitment tool, will be unveiled at the news conference by Deputy Superintendent for Human Resource and Security Services Mary Roberts, Associate Superintendent Willie Crowder and Communication Services Executive Manager Donald J. Claxton.
The news conference is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. June 6 at the Human Resource Services building located at 3807 Ross Avenue. Human Resource Services is located across the street from the administration building at Ross and Washington in Dallas.
Copies of the spots will be made available to the news media and mult-box services will be available as well.
