DISD Hosts Two Information Fairs For Prospect For Prospective Bilingual Teachers

16 Jul 2002

Non-Certified Applicants May Become Eligible Via Emergency Permit Program

DALLAS–Two information fairs for alternative teacher certification program applicants, who are interested in teaching bilingual students, have been scheduled by the Dallas Independent School District.

The information fairs will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 22 and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 23 in the mini theater at Nolan Estes Plaza. The plaza is located at 3434 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway.

Participants of the fairs will have the opportunity to ask questions about the alternative certification program. They will learn the steps degreed professionals, without teacher certification, have to take to become a teacher through the district's emergency permit program.
