DISD Customer Service Holds Open House Wednesday

DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District's Office of Customer Service will host an open house Wednesday, Sept. 4, to demonstrate the district's automated call tracking system.

During the month of June 2002, inquiries from incoming teachers and parents new to the district made up a portion of the more than 43,000 calls received. From tracking citizen concerns to operating the switchboard for Central Administration, the Office of Customer Service disseminates information to district employees, parents and the general public.

"The customer service call center responds to concerns and complaints from employees and the public," said Denoris Harris, executive manager of the Office of Customer Service. "The center gives the public a direct line to getting its concerns resolved in a timely manner."

The open house will be held from 8 - 11 a.m., Room 404, School Administration Building, 3700 Ross Avenue. The center can be reached by calling (972) 925-5555.
