Teachers Who Take Part In Program Could Earn Up To $1,000 In Stipends
DALLAS—Dallas Independent School District Superintendent Mike Moses on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. will hold a news conference to unveil a major new program in the district designed to encourage up to 800 teachers to learn conversational Spanish and earn stipends for doing so.
The news conference will be held in room 105 of the administration building, which is located at 3700 Ross Avenue.
Almost 60 percent of DISD students are from Hispanic households. DISD employs more than 10,500 teachers.
