Opportunities to Complete High School
DALLAS—In an ongoing effort to recapture secondary students who have discontinued their education, the Dallas Independent School District is sponsoring an open house and a recovery fair as part of its "Hook Up with School" initiative.
Students are invited to attend an open house on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., at one of the district's three Central Reconnection Centers. The centers are: the West Dallas Reconnection Center, 2200 Dennison St.; Barbara M. Manns High School, 912 S. Ervay; and the Metropolitan Educational Center, 1403 Corinth St. Students will be required to bring their parent or guardian to the open house. Vocational teachers will be on hand to provide students with program information and job opportunities.
Sponsored by Strategic Events, the recovery fair will be held on Secondary Fair Day, Friday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Fair Park in the Texas Discovery Gardens.
