High School Diplomas To Be Presented to Veterans Who Left School To Serve in War
DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District will hold a Patriotic Assembly and World War II Veterans Diploma Ceremony at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 8, at Loos Field House, located at 3815 Spring Valley Road.
Superintendent Mike Moses and Board President Ken Zornes will present diplomas to 51 World War II veterans who left DISD high schools to serve in the Armed Forces. The event will feature choirs and bands performing patriotic music and a "readers theater" performance.
Eleventh grade students currently attending the schools in which the veterans were enrolled during the 1940s are invited to the event.
Veterans Day is November 11.
