DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District will host a recruitment fair for bilingual applicants Monday, Dec. 16, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Nolan Estes Plaza Mini-Theatre, 3434 S. R.L. Thornton Frwy.
Candidates are being recruited for the following areas: Early Childhood, English As a Second Language, Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Technology Spanish, Theatre Arts, Speech, Journalism, Generic Special Education, Music and Art. Participants will have the opportunity to view a slide show and talk to the director and program specialists.
The Alternative Certification program trains professionals with degrees in fields other than teaching for a career in education. Among the requirements, applicants must have a four-year college degree from an accredited college or university; an overall 2.5 grade point average from all colleges and universities attended or a 2.75 grade point average in the last 60 hours of coursework.
