DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District will host a recruitment fair for bilingual applicants Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Nolan Estes Plaza in the LBJ Auditorium, 3434 S. R.L. Thornton Frwy.
Candidates are being recruited for the following areas: Early Childhood, English As a Second Language, Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Spanish, Theatre Arts, Speech, Journalism, Generic Special Education, Music and Art.
The Alternative Certification program trains professionals with degrees in fields other than teaching for a career in education. Among the requirements, applicants must have a four-year college degree from an accredited college or university; an overall 2.5 grade point average from all colleges and universities attended or a 2.75 grade point average in the last 60 hours of course work. The application deadline is March 14.
