DISD Students Collect $31,000 in Common Cents Coin Collections

DALLAS—Dallas Independent School District students and Superintendent Mike Moses at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb.13, will hold a news conference to announce the recipients of more than $31,000 collected during the Common Cents campaign.

Common Cents is a student led coin collection effort designed to raise money for charity and non-profit organizations while encouraging good citizenship and social responsibility in school children.

Students from 38 DISD elementary school, middle and high schools will make presentations to more than 34 local non-profit organizations in the Administration Building auditorium, located at 3700 Ross Ave.
