Leaders To Join Superintendent In Push To Encourage First Day Attendance
DALLAS—Dallas Independent School District Superintendent Mike Moses, along with Dallas community leaders, will meet with reporters at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the School Administration Building to encourage parents to have their children in school on the first day of classes, Monday, Aug. 18.
During the meeting, the superintendent also will discuss immunization requirements necessary for students. Moses also will focus on other important updates as the district begins its weeklong countdown to the start of the 2003-04 school year.
The district is expecting more than 164,000 students at its 218 campuses. The news event will take place in room 105 at 3700 Ross Avenue.
