North Texas Ford Dealers and Ford Motor Company Sponsor Elementary School Grant Program
DALLAS—Twenty-one teachers from the Dallas Independent School District were awarded $1,000 each from Hispanic Salute Elementary School Grant Program.
The Grant program is sponsored by the North Texas Ford Dealers and the Ford Motor Company. DISD Chief of Staff Carol Francois, along with the Hispanic Salute Selection committee, chaired by Dallas Can Academy Superintendent Yolanda Cruz, Jerry Reynolds of North Texas Ford Dealers, and Darrell Mendez, Truck Brand Manager, of the Ford Division presented the $1,000 checks and certificates to the grant winners at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at 3700 Ross Ave.
The 2003 grant winners are: Yvonne Norfleet, Stephen Foster Elementary; Donna Lucas, Sidney Lanier Elementary; Yadiraedith Excamilla, L.O. Donald Elementary; Angelica Buentello, Rosemont Elementary; Sandra Fernandez, Peeler Elementary; Shentely Shepherd, Eladio Martinez Learning Center; Claire Hubbell, Arcadia Park Elementary; Jolene McDonald, Herbert Marcus Elementary; Camilo Usaga, Stephen Foster Elementary; Tanis Devlin, Henderson Elementary; Sherry Hardin, Stevens Park; Julie Blasingame, William Lipscomb Elementary; Herbert Taylor, Silberstein Elementary; Judy Cole, Keist Elementary; Rosa Temengil, Robert E. Lee Elementary; Geneviene Juarez / Maria Soldana, Silberstein Elementary; Kimberly Stephney, John Runyon Elementary; Hortensia Molina, Reagan Elementary; Maria Flores, Rosemont Elementary; Jeanne Joebgen, Nancy Moseley Elementary; and Larry Estes, Kennedy Learning Center.
