Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson Provides Information About Appointments to Academies
DALLAS—Dallas Independent School District secondary students and their parents are encouraged to participate in the 2003 Military Service Academy Day scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, in the School Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave.
Hosted by U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, the event introduces the scholarship and educational opportunities offered by the nation's service academies. Congresswoman Johnson will address the students and representatives from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Merchant Marine academies will make presentations.
Those selected for appointments to an academy will attend on a full scholarship. An individual who receives an appointment benefits from an education valued at more $250,000. For information, contact your high school counselor or call (214) 922-8885.
