WWII Veterans to Receive High School Diploma Nov. 7

20 DISD-Employees Currently on Military Duty Also To Be Recognized

DALLAS–Dallas veterans who left high school before graduation to serve in World War II will receive belated recognition in a multi-media tribute to patriotism at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, Loos Field House, 3815 Spring Valley Rd.

The Patriotic Assembly and World War II Veterans Diploma Ceremony recognizes veterans who left school to enlist in the armed forces. DISD employees currently on active duty in the military will be recognized also.

Superintendent Mike Moses and Board President Hollis Brashear will present diplomas to the graduates. In addition, the families of district staff currently on active duty will receive special recognition and a keepsake.

One of the highlights of the event is A Tribute to Patriotism, a salute in words and music to the veterans by some of the district's most talented students.
