From Meat Loaf to Popcorn Chicken Students will Cast Their Vote for Favorite Food Items
DALLAS–Teen School Board members will help select the items that will appear in Dallas Independent School District cafeterias next fall at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in Room 105, 3700 Ross Ave.
Items to be sampled include meat loaf with brown or creole sauce; quesadillas; popcorn chicken and a spicy chicken patty. If chosen, the menu selections may appear in school cafeterias next semester.
In addition to the food tasting, Teen Board members will kick-off their service project when they receive green and red bags to collect items for needy teens. Collection culminates Dec. 10.
Teen School Board is comprised of junior and senior class presidents from each district high school. Throughout the year, the students present issues and concerns of their schoolmates to Superintendent Mike Moses and the Board of Trustees.
