Applications Are Available in District Schools
DALLAS—Students interested in applying to enroll in the Dallas Independent School District's Magnet School Program have until Friday, Feb. 20, to submit an application.
Applications are available at district schools and in the School Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave., Room 101.
Under the guidelines approved by the DISD Board of Trustees in the fall, students will be selected based on their grade-point average, performance on national norm-referenced tests and a third assessment, such as an interview, essay or audition.
More than 1,500 students every year are selected to study a specialized and focused career-oriented curriculum. These areas range from dentistry to forensic science, banking to law, social services, computer engineering, and the arts.
