57 Students Will Receive Scholarships from Golf Classic Proceeds
DALLAS—The general superintendent of the Dallas Independent School District will award 57 seniors $2,000 scholarships at a reception to be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at The Science Place at Fair Park, 1318 Second Avenue.
Superintendent Mike Moses will be joined by the Board of Trustees to award at least one senior from every DISD high school a scholarship in recognition of outstanding community service, academic achievement and good character.
The scholarship is to reward them for their achievement and to provide financial support for a college education. The graduating seniors will share $114,000 in scholarships.
The scholarships are funded through the proceeds received from the Superintendent's Scholarship Golf Classic.
