For the First Time in 10 Years Students Will Be Released at Mid-Day
DALLAS—For the first time in more than 10 years, Dallas Independent School District students will be released early from school on Friday, Oct. 29.
Even though students will be off early, teachers and other school administrators will meet to analyze academic data.
Deputy Superintendent for Administrative Services, Jim Scales said, "the information gathered will help teachers to develop different strategies for instruction. By giving a benchmark assessment at these junctures, educators can pinpoint certain difficulties that students may have and find resolutions to correct and enhance the achievement process."
Students will be released at the following times:
1:15 p.m. - K-3, 4-6, 7-8, Vanguards and Academies
1:45 p.m. - High Schools
2:15 p.m. - Magnet Schools
