Lee McShan Jr. Elementary Provides Much Needed Relief
DALLAS–Dallas Independent School District officials will be joined by community and local elected officials Thursday, Oct. 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the future site of Lee McShan Jr. Elementary School, 8307 Meadow Road.
The school is the third to be built with funds from the 2002 bond program and is named for a White Rock area community leader and former president of the DISD Board of Trustees (1966-68).
McShan Elementary will relieve overcrowding at Arthur Kramer, Preston Hollow and Victor Hexter elementary schools.
Students, principals and the community will join with Trustee Lois Parrott and Interim General Superintendent Larry Groppel to turn over the first spadeful of dirt.
