Kelley Will Speak to Students at John B. Hood and E.B. Comstock Middle Schools, Friday, Nov. 5
DALLAS–Middle school students in the Dallas Independent School District will have an opportunity to listen to motivational speaker Sarano Kelley Friday, Nov. 5.
Kelley's first stop will be at John B. Hood Middle School, 7625 Hume Dr., from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and then he will visit E.B. Comstock Middle School, 7044 Hodde St., from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The speakers' visit to the schools is being sponsored by the DISD's Youth Mentoring Program, along with the Texas Youth Mentoring Program and The Children's Center for Self-Esteem KidLinks Foundation.
After growing up in a gang-infested neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, Kelley became a successful stockbroker at the early age of 23. He later became a personal life coach, mentor and an inspirational and motivational speaker who addresses 50,000 people each year. Kelley also has trained more than 250,000 people including President Clinton's White House Fellows and Secretary of State Colin Powell.
"Having Sarano Kelley speak at Hood and Comstock is an incredible opportunity for the students. They will learn to set goals and accomplish them, but not alone. We cannot be successful without the support of our family, friends and our mentors, and we need to teach our students this and remind ourselves," said DISD Drop Out Prevention Specialist, Diana Aguirre.
Kelley is also the author of the book "The Game: Win Your Life in 90 Days," a unique 90-days process that has greatly impacted the lives of over a quarter-of-a-million people he has coached.
