Fair is set for Saturday, Jan. 8, at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center
DALLAS–Dallas Independent School District students interested in attending a magnet school and their parents may attend an information fair Saturday, Jan. 8, at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, 1201 East Eighth St., from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The vanguard, academy and magnet schools provide career-oriented or a special interest curriculum in addition to a complete academic program.
During the fair, magnet school personnel will be on hand to answer questions and applications will be distributed. Information about the application process and deadlines, admission's criteria and programs offered at the schools will be provided.
Completed applications will be accepted starting January 31. The last day to submit applications for the 2005-2006 school year is February 25.
In addition, each magnet school will be hosting an open house at 6 p.m. on the following dates:
