'Destination Imagination' Takes Place Saturday, Feb. 26
DALLAS–Sixty-three teams from throughout the Dallas Independent School District will participate in the annual regional tournament, Destination Imagination , at 8 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, at Molina High School, 2355 Duncanville Rd.
Destination Imagination is an international creative problem-solving competition that teaches elementary through high school students skills to overcome challenges in their life.
Some of the main objectives of this program are problem solving, using creative thinking and working on a team.
"Destination Imagination relates to all TAKS objectives and allows the students a fun and rewarding way to work together in problem solving," said Lana Jones, Districtwide Activities specialist.
Winners of the annual regional tournament move up to the state tournament and then to nationals. The program is non-profit and is run by teachers and volunteers.
