Community Leaders and School Officials Join for Ribbon-Cutting

DALLAS–The Moseley family, parents and community leaders will join Interim Superintendent Larry Groppel and other Dallas Independent School District officials at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 to unveil the new wing at Nancy Moseley Elementary School, 10400 Rylie Road.

The 34,350-square-foot addition has 22 classrooms and a new media center. Upgrades to the school include renovations to the gym and kitchen, technology and air-conditioning upgrades and parking lot repairs.

A teacher for 20 years in the Dallas Independent School District, Nancy Moseley taught future teachers at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and spent her summers, evenings and Saturdays helping students succeed in the classroom. The school, formerly known as Rylie Primary School, became Nancy Moseley Elementary School in 1959 after her death. Her great-nephews Paul and Hal Moseley will participate in Thursday's celebration.
