Early Childhood Organizations from Around the Country to Attend
DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District's Early Childhood Education Department will host the Third Annual Pre-Kindergarten Conference, April 2, 2005 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at City Place Conference Center, 2711 N. Haskell.
More than 400 DISD teachers, teacher assistants, Head Start teachers and other childcare providers will participate.
"Early childhood educators will have an opportunity to learn about innovative methods and best practices in their respective fields," said Beth Steerman, executive director of the Early Childhood Education Department.
Participants also will have an opportunity to refine their professional skills, network with colleagues and renew their shared commitment to early childhood education.
Keynote speakers are Thomas Moore, children's book author and international early childhood consultant, and award winning children's book author and international speaker, Lada Josefa Kratky. The theme for this year's conference is Children's Opportunities-Our Responsibilities.
