Hinojosa To Be Joined By Close Family Thursday Evening
DALLAS—Thursday night's called board meeting to officially name Michael Hinojosa as the next Dallas Independent School District superintendent will be attended by several members of the Hinojosa family when it begins at 5:30 p.m.
DISD's nine trustees are slated to begin an official meeting to accept Hinojosa's contract and bring to a close a nine-month search to replace Mike Moses as the superintendent of the district. The 5:30 p.m. meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Administration Building, located at 3700 Ross Avenue.
Immediately following the meeting, Hinojosa will be joined by members of his family in the Board Room to hold a short news conference where he will have a prepared statement and take questions from members of the news media. The Board Room news conference will be for credentialed members of the news media only.
At 6 p.m. the board will hold its monthly meeting in the auditorium.
Expected to join Hinojosa at the meeting are his wife, Kitty, sons Taylor and Michael, as well as his parents and four siblings.
