Ron Peace of Victoria, Steve Flores of Round Rock To Join DISD As Deputy Superintendents
DALLASCalling them critical adjustments to help execute my entry plan, Dallas Independent School District Superintendent Michael Hinojosa Monday named two former district leaders to two key posts, while moving a current deputy to another leadership position.
The superintendent also announced the creation of four School Improvement Team Leader positions that will report directly to the superintendent and be assigned to address campus-level improvements in under achieving schools.
The district clearly embraces the concept of teamwork and using teamwork to support schools that need assistance, Hinojosa said. These teams are going to support the schools that need it the most. We honor the work thats been done in the district over the past four or five years to improve academic performance, but there is ample evidence that there is a need for a new way of providing assistance.
