DALLAS—In addition to school uniforms in the Dallas Independent School District, the new school year brings a new cast for DISD's student-hosted television show, School Zone Dallas.

The Emmy Award-winning TV show will air three times this school year on WFAA-Channel 8 at 6:30 p.m., courtesy of John Eagle Dealerships. The first edition will air Wednesday, September 7. Additional programs will air in January and April.

"To air School Zone Dallas on WFAA is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our staff and students," said DISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Hinojosa. "John Eagle's continued partnership to air this program is unique to North Texas and is appreciated by all of us in the DISD."

WFAA usually airs Wheel of Fortune at 6:30 p.m. on weeknights. When School Zone Dallas aired in that timeslot this past January, more than 350,000 viewers tuned in to watch.
