Community Leaders and School Officials Join for Ribbon-cutting
DALLAS– Parents, teachers and community leaders will join Superintendent Michael Hinojosa and other Dallas Independent School District officials at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005 to unveil the new wing at K.B. Polk Vanguard Elementary School, 6911 Victoria Avenue.
The $8.2 million renovation includes a new "front door" welcoming students with a colorful mural, an addition with 16 classrooms, four Pre-K classrooms, two renovated classrooms and a library/media center.
The Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center Jazz Band and the K.B. Polk Choir will perform at the ceremony.
