Ceremony Honors Educator, Civic Leader and Human Rights Advocate
DALLAS–Community leaders, elected officials and students will join Trustee Ron Price and Superintendent Michael Hinojosa at the groundbreaking ceremony for Harold W. Lang Sr. Middle School, 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, at 1678 Chenault Street.
The school, located in East Dallas, is named in honor of Lang, a DISD educator, noted scholar and historian, civic leader and a passionate advocate for human rights.
Designed for 1,200 students, the middle school will include classrooms for science, art, music and instructional technology. In addition to core classrooms, the three-story facility will feature a media center and gymnasium; auditorium and stage; student dining and food service area; and career and technical education areas.
