Among 335 Retirees Are Employees Who Have
Served in the Education Field for at Least 40 Years
DALLAS–A reception and dinner to honor retiring Dallas Independent School District employees will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 300 Reunion Blvd.
A total of 335 DISD employees are retiring this year. Among the retirees are employees who have been in the education field for 45 years.
"I congratulate all of our retirees for their commitment and dedication while serving in the education field," said superintendent Michael Hinojosa. "All these educators have achieved greatness by making an impact in the lives of many of students."
Retirees who have served in the education field for at least 40 years are:
* Ludie Adams, teacher assistant, City Park Elementary (42 years)
* Sondra Bent, teacher, Winnetka Elementary School (42 years)
* Rosalind Ferguson, counselor,
Skyline Career Development Center (40 years)
* Bradley Sue Howell, librarian, Woodrow Wilson High School (45 years)
* Jane Howell, teacher, Skyline High School (40 years)
* Earnest James, teacher, Roosevelt High School (44 years)
* Linda Pace, teacher, Benjamin Franklin Middle School (42 years)
* Annie Powell, counselor, Roosevelt High School (42 years)
* Willie Wilson, teacher, Psychological Services (41 years)
Program participants include Nancy Bingham, board trustee-District 4, Troy Coleman, associate superintendent, Human Resources Services and Ron Peace, deputy superintendent, Business Services.
