More Than 700 Teachers Eligible To Win Prizes
DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District will host the 2006 Teacher Perfect Attendance Celebration, at 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, at Jesse Owens Memorial Complex, Ellis Davis Jr. Field House, 9191 South Polk Street.
Superintendent Michael Hinojosa and board trustees will be present to recognize the teachers.
The celebration honors teachers who have not missed a day in the classroom during the 2005-2006 school year. Recognized teachers receive a perfect attendance pin. The grand prize winner receives an $1,100 travel gift certificate and a set of luggage.
Sponsors throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area have donated many prizes to be given to the teachers through a drawing.
Sponsors include Bank of America for donating the grand prize travel certificate, West & Gooden, P.C., Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P. and Ramirez and Associates, P.C., for donating $500 each.
