Speakers Must Register by 5 p.m. the Day Prior to the Meeting
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet Thursday, Aug 24, for the first session of the 2006-2007 school year.
Throughout the year, meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month in the School Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave. A superintendent's report, trustees' bulletins and announcements, board resolutions and award presentations are traditional agenda items for the monthly board meeting. Meetings are open to the public.
Board briefings are held the second Thursday of each month, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Registered speakers may address specific agenda items, board policies or matters of public concern at 5 p.m., after the board briefings. To address the board at either briefings or regular board meetings, the public may register until 5 p.m. the day prior to the meeting at the Office of Board Services by calling (972) 925-3720.
Registered speakers who have not addressed the board after the briefings may make public comment on specific agenda items at the regular board meeting. Individuals who have not addressed the board in the 30-days prior to the meeting in question, may speak at the end of the regular board meeting.
