Dallas ISD Area 2 Schools To Host Parent Retreats for 2006-2007

Retreats Will Be Held at Area 2 High Schools

DALLAS– The Dallas Independent School District Area 2 high schools are hosting a series of parent retreats designed to offer information to parents so they can enhance their knowledge about the importance of education to succeed in life.

Offered in English and Spanish, the retreats provide instructional and general information about the district, its programs and services. In addition, the retreats help parents become familiar with the resources and services available in their neighborhood schools.

Workshops offered include an overview of district policies and programs, beginning computer classes, tips on performing better on tests, gang awareness, the importance of attending parent conferences and information about resources available to help students pursue a higher education.

All retreats will be held at the cluster high schools.
