Representatives from USDA to visit campus Thursday, Oct. 12
DALLAS– The Dallas Independent School District Food and Child Nutrition Services Department will host a school lunch program at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, at Obadiah Knight Elementary School in observance of School Lunch Week, Oct. 9-13.
The program is being held to promote the School Lunch Program, the Fruit and Vegetable Pilot program and the USDA Team Nutrition Program.
On hand for the event will be Principal Enrique Escobedo, Dora Rivas, division manager of Food and Child Nutrition Services, Robin Ryan, Area 4 superintendent, Elvia Andarza from the Texas Department of Agriculture, Esther Phillips, deputy regional administrator for the USDA Food and Nutrition Services and Patricia Mancha, director of communications and governmental affairs for USDA Food and Nutrition Services.
