Minds In Motion Program Sends Dallas ISD Students To College For A Day

Program prepares students and parents for college

WHAT: About 140 Dallas Independent School District students will be able to get a taste of college life and various careers.

WHEN: Friday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 pm.

WHERE: North Lake College, 5001 North MacArthur Blvd, in Irving.

WHY: The initiative targets Dallas ISD students who are part of the Majority to Minority Transfer program. Students will tour the campus, while their parents receive information about financial aid, ways to motivate their children to stay in school, and tips to help students select middle and high school courses now that will be an advantage to them in college.

College tuition for the Majority to Minority program students is paid for by the Dallas Independent School District.
