"The colorful pageantry attracts people from throughout the Southwest to learn about and celebrate American Indian culture," said Peggy Larney, program specialist. "All students are encouraged to come out and participate."
Dayrah Yellowfish, a senior at the Yvonne Ewell Townview Center, is the reigning Miss Indian PAC of Dallas, and will be the Pow Wow's Head Lady Dancer.
Vendors will offer modern and traditional arts and crafts. Concessions will feature native American Indian fare such as Indian tacos and fried bread. The Pow Wow is free and open to the public.
