10 seniors will receive $20,000 each
DALLAS–Superintendent of Schools Michael Hinojosa has announced the recipients of the 2007 Sulentic Family Foundation Scholarship winners.
Senior students from 10 high schools will each receive a $20,000 Sulentic Family Foundation Scholarship. The Foundation recently established a $1 million scholarship fund for Dallas ISD students.
"This generous scholarship has provided the district the opportunity to encourage many highly talented students to pursue a college education," said Hinojosa. "One of the district's goals is to prepare students to graduate and pursue a college education, and this scholarship will make that goal a reality for these very deserving students."
Dallas ISD will select 10 students from each of the 2007-2011 graduating classes to receive these awards.
This year's winners are: Bryan Albert Hall, Skyline High School; Alyssa Charday Adams, A. Maceo Smith High School; Marvin Martinez, H. Grady Spruce High School; Ricardo Reyes, School of Education and Social Services at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center; Patrick Le Ward, School for the Talented and Gifted at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center; Lizeth Gabriela Mendoza, Bryan Adams High School; Fregenet Tilahun Gebriel, Hillcrest High School; Desiree Gutierrez, Thomas Jefferson High School; Noemi Beltran, Sunset High School; and Vanessa Aldrete, Woodrow Wilson High School.
