New Officers are elected
DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District Board of Trustees swore in three incumbent members at last night's board meeting held at David W. Carter High School, 1819 W. Wheatland Road.
Trustee Lew Blackburn, District 5, East Oak Cliff, Downtown and parts of Oak Lawn and West Dallas, along with trustees Jerome Garza, District 7, North Central Oak Cliff and West Dallas, and Nancy Bingham, District 4, Southeast Dallas and Seagoville, were sworn-in for new terms.
Trustee Jack Lowe, District 2, North Dallas and Near East Dallas, was re-elected president of the board. Trustee Adam Medrano, District 8, Love Field, Northwest Dallas and Central Dallas, was elected first vice president, and Trustee Nancy Bingham, was re-elected board secretary.
Trustee Ron Price, District 9, South Dallas, Downtown, who was not in attendance, was elected second vice president. Today, however, Price resigned from that position.
