J.L. Turner Legal Association will Host "A Conversation About Education"
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District Superintendent of Schools Michael Hinojosa will participate as a panelist when the J.L. Turner Legal Association hosts a Town Hall Meeting on Education "A Conversation About Education," at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, 1201 E. Eighth Street.
The panel discussion will focus on public education in the North Texas area, parental involvement/empowerment, and the impact of the recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions regarding school desegregation.
Other panelists include Dr. James Davis from U.S. Department of Education; U.S. District Judge Sam A. Lindsay; Dallas County Associate Judge Teresa Guerra Snelson; State Senator Royce West and other educational leaders in the Dallas community.
This program is the fourth part of JLTLA's year-long series of forums designed to meet its theme for 2007: Advocating Fulfillment of the Dream.
