Ceremony Scheduled for Saturday, October 20
DALLAS–Dallas Independent School District officials and community leaders will gather for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new wing for Frederick Douglass Elementary School, 226 N. Jim Miller Road, at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 20.
The campus, located in southeast Dallas, received renovations as well as a new addition. The renovations included roof repairs, Americans with Disabilities Act improvements, upgrades to fire alarm and suppression systems, technology infrastructure and a new air conditioning system. The new addition to the school features 20 new classrooms, support spaces and new restrooms.
School Board Trustee Ron Price, District 9 will be on hand to give remarks.
