The Textbook Committee Will Approve Books for the 2008-2009 School Year
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the Central Textbook Adoption Committee during its February board meeting.
The committee, composed of 11 members, will select the mathematics textbooks for grades kindergarten through fifth for the 2008-2009 school year.
The committee selects the books based on the popular vote, on the report from the content advisory sub-committee, and on publisher presentations.
"The committee also reviews the textbooks thoroughly before making a final decision to present them to the Board for its approval," said Alanna Arenivas, instructional supervisor, Math Department.
The books that are being considered for adoption are:

The committee will make a final decision about the adoption of the textbooks in March
