Maria Luna Food Service Facility Dedication Set For May 3

The new 153,575 square-foot facility is named after Luna's Tortilla Factory entrepreneur

DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District will dedicate the new Maria Luna Food Service Facility, 1515 Grand Avenue, at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3.

The Maria Luna Food Service Facility, built with funds from the 2002 bond program, is a 153,575 square-foot building which houses the administrative offices for the Food and Child Nutrition Services Department and includes a central food service warehouse and commissary, a bakery, a packaging area, and a 189-seat auditorium.

Dallas ISD School Board Trustee Ron Price, District 9, and Chief Operating Officer Eric Anderson, will give remarks and the Mariachi de Jaguares from Moisés E. Molina High School will provide entertainment.
