DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District valedictorians and salutatorians for the 2007–2008 school year have been selected based on academic achievement.

Some of the favorite university choices for the valedictorians and salutatorians include top Texas universities such as Texas A&M University at College Station, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas at Austin. Out-of-state choices include Harvard University, Columbia University, Syracuse University, New Mexico State University, Rice University, and University of Colorado at Boulder.

"I congratulate every valedictorian and salutatorian for being the top students in Dallas ISD," said Superintendent of Schools Michael Hinojosa. "These students are the example of the many great students that our district has. Dallas ISD’s main goal is to become the best urban district in the nation and to prepare our students to graduate from district schools ready for college and the workforce."
