City of Dallas will distribute thousands of school supply packets to Dallas ISD students
DALLAS–Thousands of school supplies will be distributed to Dallas Independent School District students at the Mayor's Back to School Fair Thursday, August 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Automobile and Centennial buildings, at Fair Park, 1010 First Ave.
This year marks the 12th year for the annual fair. More than 20,000 children and their families are expected to attend the event. From health screenings to various information and education booths, the event will offer attendees information to ensure school children have a successful school year. Classes in the Dallas ISD begin August 25.
Dallas ISD's Chief Administrative Officer Donna Micheaux and City of Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert will attend the event.
