Newly-Redesigned Library To Be Unveiled At W.W. Bushman Elementary School

17 Sep 2008

Target Volunteers Contributed to the Redesign and Will Also Provide Books, Furniture, and Murals for the New Library

DALLAS–Dallas Independent School District W. W. Bushman Elementary School, 4200 Bonnie View Rd., will unveil a newly-redesigned library Friday, September 19, at 12:30 p.m.

The redesigned library is part of the Target Volunteers program school library makeovers. Twenty-three schools across the country were awarded a library makeover, led by local Target volunteers, who contributed their time and talent to this project. The school selection was based on percentage of low-income children and overall need for library improvement. The Target Volunteers program is also donating books, furniture, and murals for the new library.

Staff members from Bushman Elementary, students, parents, community members, Dallas ISD administrators, representatives from Target Volunteers, as well as representatives from the Heart of America Foundation, will be present during the unveiling.
