Parent Conferences for fall 2008 Are Scheduled for Week of October 13
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District will be hosting its parent conferences for the fall of the 2008-2009 school year during the week of Oct. 13. The conferences for every school level will be as follows:
"Parent-teacher meetings provide an outstanding opportunity for teachers and parents to communicate and begin building strong parent-teacher relationships," said Michael Ralston, director – Dallas ISD Parent Services and School Choice Department
According to Ralston, attending a parent-teacher meeting is beneficial for children because they learn that his/her parent is working together with the teacher. Ralston also says that children whose parents attend parent conferences or parent-teacher meetings are more likely to get better grades and achieve more in school.
