The Free Fair is Scheduled for Saturday, October 25
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District will host its annual college fair Las Llaves del Éxito (Keys to Success), at 8 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Mountain View College, 4849 W. Illinois Ave.
The free fair, which is open to students in grades six through 12 and their parents, is a partnership with area colleges and universities, the Dallas County Community College District, the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Dallas Concilio of Hispanic Service Organizations, and other non-profit agencies.
During the fair, high school students and their parents will learn from college representatives the process and steps that need to be taken to be considered for college admission and financial aid. Other workshops will be available to provide students and parents information about planning for college and about getting college credits while in high school.
For middle school students and their parents, workshop topics include career exploration, Pre-AP/SAT preparation, and parental involvement tips.
